How much does a Duckscale agent cost?

Duckscale agents start at $97/month on the Starter plan, which includes one deployed agent and up to 500 tasks per month. The Professional plan is $247/month and supports up to three agents and 2,000 tasks. The Business plan is custom-priced for teams that need unlimited agents, dedicated support, and enterprise SLAs. All plans include setup assistance.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every new account includes a 14-day free trial with full access to the Professional plan features. No credit card is required to start. If you decide not to continue, your account is simply deactivated at the end of the trial period.

How long does setup take?

Most agents are live within 3 to 5 business days from the initial onboarding call. Simple, single-integration agents can sometimes be deployed the same day. More complex configurations involving multiple tools and custom escalation rules typically take the full five days.

Do I need any technical skills to set up an agent?

No technical skills are required. Duckscale handles all configuration, integration connections, and testing on your behalf. You provide context about your business, tools, and goals during a structured onboarding session, and the team does the rest.

What tools can agents connect to?

Duckscale agents integrate with over 80 tools including Gmail, Google Calendar, Slack, HubSpot, Salesforce, Notion, Airtable, Stripe, QuickBooks, Shopify, Zoom, and more. If you use a tool with an API or webhook, there is a strong chance it can be connected. The full integration list is available on the Integrations page.

Can an agent send emails on my behalf?

Yes. Agents can draft and send emails through your connected Gmail or Outlook account. You can configure the agent to send autonomously for routine messages, or require your approval before anything goes out — the level of autonomy is entirely up to you.

Can I have multiple agents?

Yes. The Professional plan supports up to three simultaneously active agents, and the Business plan supports unlimited agents. Many customers run a Sales Agent, a Customer Support Agent, and an Executive Assistant in parallel, each handling a different part of their workflow.

What happens if the agent makes a mistake?

All agent actions are logged in real time, so any error can be identified and reversed quickly. For high-stakes actions — such as sending customer communications or updating financial records — you can require a human approval step before the action executes. Our support team is available to help investigate and correct any issue.

How do I train the agent on my specific business?

During onboarding, you provide your business context: your products or services, communication style, common scenarios, and any rules the agent should follow. You can also upload documents, SOPs, or FAQs to a dedicated knowledge base. The agent continuously improves based on feedback you provide through the dashboard.

Can I pause or cancel at any time?

Yes. You can pause your agent or cancel your subscription at any time from the billing settings — no phone call required. If you cancel, your agent remains accessible until the end of the current billing period, and your data is retained for 30 days before deletion.

Is my data secure?

All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 and at rest using AES-256. Duckscale is SOC 2 Type II compliant, and access to customer data is strictly limited by role-based access controls. We do not share your data with third parties except the integration services you explicitly authorize.

Does Duckscale use my data to train AI models?

No. Your business data, conversations, and task history are never used to train AI models — neither Duckscale's internal models nor any third-party foundation model. This is a firm policy, not a default setting. Your data belongs to you.

What is the difference between Starter, Professional, and Business plans?

Starter is designed for individuals or very small teams needing one agent for a single workflow, with 500 tasks per month and email support. Professional supports up to three agents, 2,000 tasks, and includes priority support and access to all integrations. Business is a fully custom arrangement with unlimited agents, dedicated account management, enterprise SLAs, and optional private deployment.

Can the agent work outside business hours?

Yes. Duckscale agents operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week unless you configure a specific active window. Many customers use this to respond to inbound inquiries overnight, process orders received on weekends, or handle time-sensitive tasks across different time zones.

What languages does the agent support?

Agents can understand and respond in over 40 languages, including Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, and Mandarin. Language detection is automatic, so the agent can switch mid-conversation if needed. You can also restrict the agent to specific languages if your business requires it.

How does billing work?

Billing is monthly and charged automatically to the payment method on file at the start of each billing cycle. Annual plans are available at a discounted rate. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time, with prorated adjustments applied to your next invoice.

Can I get a refund?

If you are not satisfied within the first 30 days of a paid subscription, contact support for a full refund. After 30 days, refunds are issued at our discretion depending on the circumstances. We handle each situation individually and aim to find a fair resolution.

Do agents work with mobile apps?

Agents can interact with any mobile app that exposes an API or webhook — including mobile-first tools like WhatsApp, SMS via Twilio, and iOS Shortcuts. The agent itself runs in the cloud, so there is nothing to install on your phone.

What is a 'task' and how are they counted?

A task is a single discrete action completed by the agent — such as sending one email, creating one CRM record, or answering one customer inquiry. Research tasks that require multiple internal steps still count as one task toward your limit. You can view your task usage in real time from your dashboard.

Can multiple team members use the same agent?

Yes. You can add team members to your account and grant them access to shared agents. Each member can interact with the agent, review task history, and submit feedback. Permissions can be configured so that certain team members have read-only access while others can modify agent settings.

How do I know if my agent is working correctly?

Every agent has a live activity dashboard that shows recent tasks, completion status, and any errors. You will also receive a weekly summary email by default. For critical workflows, you can set up Slack or email alerts to notify you immediately if the agent encounters an issue or fails a task.

What happens when I hit my task limit?

When you reach your monthly task limit, the agent pauses new tasks and notifies you by email. You can either upgrade your plan immediately to restore service, or purchase a task top-up to carry you through the rest of the billing period. Tasks never silently drop — you always know when the limit is reached.

Can agents be customized for my specific industry?

Yes. Duckscale has pre-built agent templates for industries including real estate, legal, healthcare, e-commerce, financial services, and professional services. Each template comes with industry-specific prompts, compliance guardrails, and suggested integrations. Custom configurations are also available for any industry not covered by existing templates.

How is Duckscale different from a chatbot?

A chatbot responds to messages within a single interface. A Duckscale agent takes action across your actual business tools — it can update your CRM, send emails, create calendar events, process orders, and more. Agents complete real work autonomously; chatbots only have a conversation. The difference is the gap between talking about a task and actually doing it.

How do I get started?
